1. Agreement
By accessing this website or engaging Stencll, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. If you are acting for a business, you represent that you have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the website or services.
2. Services and project agreements
Website design, development, hosting, maintenance, and consulting are provided according to a written proposal, statement of work, or other project agreement. That agreement controls if it conflicts with these general terms. Scope, fees, milestones, approvals, third-party services, and post-launch support should be confirmed in writing.
3. Client responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate content, lawful instructions, timely reviews, access credentials through secure channels, backups of your own data, and rights to use materials you provide. You must not use a Stencll-built site for unlawful, deceptive, infringing, abusive, or harmful activity.
4. Intellectual property
Each party keeps ownership of materials it brought to a project. Unless a project agreement says otherwise, after full payment you receive the agreed deliverables for your business use. Stencll retains ownership of its pre-existing tools, reusable code, methods, templates, know-how, and general skills, and may reuse those elements when they do not disclose your confidential information.
5. Third-party services
A website may depend on hosting, domains, plugins, APIs, payment providers, analytics, AI providers, or other third parties. Their availability, pricing, terms, privacy practices, and security are outside Stencll's control. You are responsible for maintaining accounts and accepting the terms of services you choose to use.
6. AI-assisted work
Stencll may use artificial intelligence tools for drafting, coding, research, ideation, testing, or other support. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, insecure, or subject to third-party rights. You are responsible for reviewing and approving content, code, claims, and decisions before using them. Additional rules appear in our AI Use and Disclaimer.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The website and general information are provided on an "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stencll disclaims warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and guaranteed business, search, accessibility, compliance, or security outcomes. Services will be performed with reasonable care and skill, subject to the applicable project agreement.
8. Security and client responsibility
No website can be guaranteed immune from vulnerabilities, outages, unauthorized access, or attacks. Security depends on hosting, dependencies, credentials, configuration, updates, client processes, and third parties. You must maintain strong unique credentials, enable available security controls, apply updates, and promptly report suspected incidents. Our security disclosures are available at /security.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stencll will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption. Stencll's aggregate liability arising from a service will not exceed the fees paid for that service during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim, except where applicable law does not permit that limitation.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend access or terminate services for nonpayment, material breach, unlawful use, security risk, or where required by law. Ending a relationship does not remove obligations that by their nature should continue, including payment, confidentiality, intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits.
11. General terms
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Stencll is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new date.
